Terms of Use
Last updated: 26 April 2026
These terms are a contract between you and mondaybrew ApS, a Danish limited liability company (CVR 45217779; "mondaybrew", "we", "us") for use of the Sauerdo iOS app and the Sauerdo Pro subscription. They incorporate Apple's standard end-user licence terms for apps distributed through the App Store.
1. The licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use Sauerdo on any iOS device you own or control, limited by the terms Apple publishes for App Store apps in the Apple Media Services Terms. You may not sell, sublicence, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app.
2. Subscriptions — Sauerdo Pro
Sauerdo Pro is an auto-renewable subscription. You can choose:
- Monthly — US$9.99 billed every month
- Yearly — US$82.99 billed every year (about US$6.92/month)
Auto-renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iOS device. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current paid period remains active until its end.
- No refund for the unused portion of the current period when you cancel, except where required by law or by Apple's App Store policies.
- Any unused portion of a free trial (if offered) is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Prices and local taxes
Prices may vary by region and may include local taxes. Prices shown in the app are pulled live from Apple's StoreKit and represent the price applicable to your App Store account. We may change prices; existing subscribers are notified in line with Apple's rules.
What Sauerdo Pro unlocks
- Unlimited saved recipes
- Full history archive (beyond the free 25-bake window)
- Multiple active bake sessions
- Full photo trail per bake (beyond the free 1-photo cap)
- PDF exports and full-journal export
- Future Pro features added to the subscription tier
Restore
You can restore a previous purchase on any device signed into the same Apple ID via the paywall's Restore purchases button.
3. Your content
- You own anything you enter into Sauerdo (notes, recipes, photos, tags).
- The app stores your content on your device. If iCloud is enabled, it is mirrored through your own private iCloud database. We do not claim rights to your content.
- You are responsible for what you enter and for respecting other people's rights (e.g. don't upload photos that are not yours to share if you use the share-card feature).
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Sauerdo to break the law, to store content that is illegal in your jurisdiction, or to try to disrupt the app or the App Store (reverse engineering, injecting code, spoofing receipts, etc.).
5. No warranty
The app is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it working, but we can't guarantee it's error-free, that fermentation predictions are correct for your kitchen, or that iCloud mirroring will always succeed on a given day. Use the in-app journal as a reference, not a food-safety authority.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Sauerdo is limited to the amount you paid us for the app or subscription in the 12 months before the claim.
7. Termination
You can stop using the app any time and delete it from your device. We can terminate your licence if you breach these terms. Subscription billing stops in line with Apple's subscription rules; we do not independently charge you.
8. Apple's role
Apple is not a party to this agreement, but as required by Apple: Apple is the third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Apple's App Store terms govern the actual purchase and delivery.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted at sauerdo.vercel.app/terms with an updated "Last updated" date. Continuing to use Sauerdo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Danish law, without reference to its conflict of laws rules. Courts in Copenhagen, Denmark have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your own country of residence.
